The McNicol Gallery
During
the academic year the McNicol Gallery, located just outside the museum
offices, is designated for course-support exhibitions.
The gallery
is small—155 square feet—and is well-suited for focused exhibitions
of works on paper and/or small to medium-sized objects. Faculty from
all departments are invited to submit proposals for art exhibitions
that would significantly enhance a course they will be teaching. If a
proposal
is accepted, the professor will work with a museum curator to organize
the exhibition. While priority is given to art department faculty,
recent exhibitions have been initiated by faculty from departments such
as history,
political science, and environmental studies.
Please contact Elizabeth Gallerani,
Mellon Foundation Programs Assistant,
at least six months in advance to discuss McNicol Gallery proposals.
