At
WCMA we strive to instill in visitors a love of art and an appreciation
for the excitement that can be found in a museum. Although our museum highlights
American, non-Western, and 20th century art, all different kinds of art
can be experienced at WCMA. Educational programs expose students to new
ideas and possibilities and help them find common themes among a variety
of art works and installations.
All of WCMA's
educational programs encourage active participation
and group interaction:
- School
tours include art projects, imaginative games, and discussions.
We have tours for elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools.
- Our family
programs provide opportunities for parents and children to talk
about art and create art together.
- Programs
for teachers give teachers information
and experience to bring students to the museum and art to their classrooms.
Kidspace
@ MASS MoCA is a collaborative project sponsored by MASS
MoCA, the Sterling
