Williams College Museum of Art Presents Recent Works by Studio Art Faculty
Saturday, November 18, 2000 - February 4, 2001

Works by ten members of the Williams College art faculty will be presented in an exhibition at the Williams College Museum of Art. Opening November 18, the Art Faculty Group Show will represent a broad assortment of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, video, prints, and architectural models. The Williams College Museum of Art will host a public reception on Saturday, November 18 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. to celebrate the opening of fall exhibitions.

For the first time in four years, the art faculty is exhibiting as a group at WCMA. The diversity of works shown mirrors the various approaches to teaching studio art at Williams and affords the museum viewer an opportunity to appreciate a sampling of contemporary art in a wide range of styles.

The participating professors -- Ben Benedict, Mike Glier, Frank Jackson, Liza Johnson, Aida Laleian, Steve Levin, Ann McCallum, Amy Podmore, Hartley Shearer, and Barbara Takenaga -- are exhibiting recent work created within the last two years or works in progress. The exhibition will be on view through February 4, 2001.
